Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in performing arts (now known as Maureen O'Hara), would have placed her, at least in the eyes of America, into the child prodigy category. This is a natural characteristic for a girl of Irish origin, and who was surrounded in her early years by talented family members and parents. Maureen moved into this loving house on August 17th, 20 in Ranelagh. The mother of Maureen, Marguerita Lulburn FitzSimons was an accomplished contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman from Dublin who also owned a part of the Irish Shamrock Rovers soccer team. Maureen FitzSimons is the 2nd daughter from Charles FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons, Florrie Fitzsimons Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed this amazing family. Maureen excelled as a sportswoman and was a gruelling athlete in games when she was young. She combined this interest with an equally natural aptitude of performing. As a result, she was awarded almost all of the Feis Awards for acting and dramatic performances within her own country. By age 14 she was invited to the prestigious Abbey Theater and pursued her goal of performing in classical theatre as well as operatic vocals.
